The Colonial Athletic Association announced its men’s basketball conference schedule for the 2014-15 season on Thursday afternoon, which is highlighted by 10 nationally televised games on NBC Sports Network.
For the first time, every conference game will be televised through partnerships with NBCSN, Comcast SportsNet and the American Sports Network, as well as CAA.TV, the conference’s new digital network.
The conference returns to an 18-game league schedule this season with all 10 CAA teams facing each other at home and on the road. The regular-season slate opens on Saturday, January 3 with a full schedule of five games and concludes on Saturday, February 28.
NBCSN will provide national television coverage of CAA basketball for the third consecutive year. The network, which is available in more than 85 million homes, will air seven regular-season contests along with the semifinals and finals of the CAA Men’s Basketball Championship. All NBCSN games are also available online through NBC LiveExtra.
NBCSN’s schedule opens with a doubleheader on Saturday, January 24 as College of Charleston visits Drexel at Noon, followed by William & Mary hosting Northeastern at 2 p.m. There are three games in a four-day stretch in mid-February. Northeastern travels to Hofstra for a 7 p.m. contest on Thursday, Feb. 12, William & Mary hosts Delaware at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14 in a rematch of last year’s CAA title game, and Towson heads to College of Charleston on Sunday, Feb. 15 for a 12:30 p.m. clash.
As the CAA race hits the home stretch in late February, NBCSN will air Drexel at Northeastern at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21 and William & Mary at Hofstra at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22.
The CAA Men’s Basketball Championship returns to the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Md. on March 6-9. NBCSN will televise both semifinal contests on Sunday, March 8 and the conference title game on Monday, March 9.
The CAA will announce additional television games with partners Comcast SportsNet and the American Sports Network in conjunction with the conference’s basketball media day on October 21.
